Barbara grew up in Denver, then moving close to the Continental Divide in the Colorado Rockies, where snow is measured in feet. One year it snowed in July, she decided that was too, too cold. Barbara then spent a few years in the high desert of southern Utah. St. George was too, too HOT. A few years later she moved to the Pacific Northwest. After several years she found that Spokane was too, too wet. Barbara then traveled across the country in a semi-truck, feeling that was the best way to pacify her gypsy blood. After only a few months cruising the American highways she longed to have breakfast and dinner in the same state. Being blessed in pregnancy Barbara went home to Colorado to start her family. Realizing what she really wanted was a hometown and balance she came back to her roots, Nebraska. Barbara and her family came to Friend in early 2011 from Colorado. Barbara enjoys gardening, being in nature and sky watching both day and night. She always has time to stop and watch a butterfly, wish on a falling star, and dream of the next adventure. Barbara looks forward to RV adventures with her family and exploring all the best this world has to share. She has found freedom to travel but knows where her home is and her balance. She believes in balance.
After her first massage, a Hot Stone Massage at Indian Hot Springs, she knew her future would be in massage and facilitating the body’s healing powers.
Barbara finished her Associates of Occupational Studies in Therapeutic Massage Therapy in July of 2010, after an internship at Indian Hot Springs in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Since then she has been awarded a Bachelors of Science in Alternative Medicine in 2013. Being a life-long learner and sharing information is a great joy to her. Barbara believes in balance.
“I look forward to building my massage therapy practice in Friend Encouraging health and wellness with family, friends, and neighbors will create a stronger community in which to raise my children.
